A Tea rose, raised by Guillot fils in 1881. Flowers large, double, deep yellow, paler on the edges. Repeat-flowering well, and famous in its day as one of the largest and best yellows, especially in a warm climate. Twigs and young leaves purplish. Repeat-flowering very well, with a good Tea scent. Gregg Lowery of Vintage Gardens records that this is still one of the best teas, “it competes with most modern roses for size and quality of flowers, and beats most when it comes to quantity and continuity of bloom. | ||||||||
