A Tea rose, raised by Cant of Colchester in 1901. Flowers deep rose-red outside, pinkish and suffused with buff in the centre. This was a famous rose in the early years of the century, praised for its big globular flowers produced with great freedom; now it is probably extinct in Europe, though still grown in California. A climbing sport was introduced in 1960. Height to 4 feet (1.2m); min. -15°C. | ||||
