A Tea raised by Nabonnand in 1892. Flowers large, bright carmine with coppery orange in the centre, from a long, elegant bud. Twigs reddish, with large thorns and dark green leaves. Plant vigorous. In recent years this rose has been confused with Mme Lambard.
Lady Mary Victoria Douglas-Hamilton, was daughter of the 11th Duke of Hamilton and Princess Mary of Baden, cousin of Napoleon III. She married, as her second husband, Count Tassilo Festetics, an officer in the Austrian imperial guard, and their daughter, Maria Mathilde Georgine was born in 1881. Zone 7, will survive down to 5-0°F (–15°C).
