An old Hybrid Tea Climber introduced by Levet in 1878. Flowers large, double, pure cherry-red; scent moderate; growth vigorous. Parentage: 'Mme Berard' x Genéral Jacqueminot'. Antoine Levet of Lyon, who produced many successful Hybrid Perpetuals and Teas. Photographed at the Sangerhausen Rosarium Germany. The close-up was photographed by Bill Grant.
