An Explorer series Kordesii climbing rose, bred by Svejda and introduced in 1984. Henry Kelsey joined the Hudson’s Bay Company in 1684 and was their first inland explorer.


This cultivar was obtained from a cross of R. kordesii, and a hardy seedling originating from 'Red Pinocchio', 'Joanna Hill' and R. spinosissima. Zone 3, will survive down to –35°C. The photograph has been supplied by Morden Research Station, Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada.
