A low Parkland shrub rose bred by Collicutt and Marshall in 1989 and introduced in 1991, it suffers from some black spot. 'Morden Fireglow' was developed through the selection of its parents on the basis of chemical analysis of the flower pigments. This cultivar was developed using a seed parent derived from 'Prairie Princess', 'Morden Amorette', 'White Bouquet', 'Assiniboine' and R. arkansana. The pollen parent was 'Morden Cardinette'.

Zone 3, will survive down to –35°C. The photograph has been supplied by Morden Research Station, Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada.
