A China hybrid, raised by Hémeray-Aubert in 1912. Flowers single, in clusters, intense red with a pale centre. Stems to 4 feet (1.2m). This is really an early floribunda, its parentage being ‘Old Blush’ x ‘Hiawatha’, itself a multiflora hybrid raised in 1904.
