An open pollinated seedling of Rosa pimpinellifolia altaica introduced by Pearcy Wright of Saskatchewan in 1947, who attributed its discovery to Dr Wheeler and named it for him. Light fragrance, a vigoroud shrub up to 6 feet (1.7m) in height. Very hardy down to Zone 2. Photographed by Harry McGee.
