A Rosa wichurana Rambler introduced by Walsh in 1909. Double cupped, red flowers in large compact clusters; growth vigorous to 15 feet, (4.5m). Photographed at the Royal Horticultural Society Garden, Wisley, Surrey, UK. There is now a repeatflowering form called 'Super Exelsa'.
