An old climbing rose introduced by Van Fleet in 1924. Parentage; Rosa wichurana x 'Beauté de Lyon'. Height to 18 feet (5.5m). Photographed at Prof. Fineschi's Roseto di Cavriglia Italy also in the gardens of Kasteel Hex in Belgium and in the charming walled village of Grignan in southern France.
