Bright pink scented flowers, on a healthy shrub up to 1.2m in height. The hips are red like R cannina and shaped like those of R. pimpinellifolia. A natural hybrid found in Ireland by Templeton in 1765, now thought to be extinct in the wild. Zone 4, will survive down to omewhat weeping stems, the leaves with usually 9 rounded leaflets, with some scent Very hardy, to zone 4 in North America. in America, and will grow and flower on
