A Hybrid Tea introduced by Lammerts/Armstrong in 1940. Long pointed buds, flowers blood-red to deep pink, double; scent moderate. Used extensively in breeding. AARS 1941, David Fuerstenberg Prize ARS 1941, Gertrude M Hubbard ARS 1945, GM Portland 1941, John Cook Medal ARS 1941, NRS 1950. Parentage: ‘Soeur Thérese’ x ‘Crimson Glory’.
