A hybrid Rosa wichurana Rambler introduced by Penny in 1928. Mauve-pink flowers borne in clusters of 10-29, scent moderate. Parentage; ‘Yseult Guillot’ seedling. This multiflora rambler is named for the French statesman and prime minister who received the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1926. He lived 1862-1932. Photographed at the Sangerhausen Rosarium Germany, the second picture was photographed at Moor House garden in England by Bill Grant.
