A Shrub rose introduced by Tom Carruth in 1999. Large, full mauve flowers, clove fragrance, growth bushy, strong repeat. This rose is named for the award given to any member of the United States Armed Forces killed or wounded in an armed conflict. The order was started in 1932. Photographed by Bill Grant in the Heirloom Rose Nursery garden in Oregon.
