A Hybrid Perpetual introduced by Louis-Xavier Granger in 1861. Large, well imbricated, cherry crimson flowers, in large clusters, sweetly scented, vigorous growth, some autumn repeat. The only record of its parents is that ‘General Jacqueminot’ was one of them. Photographed in New Zealand at the Christchurch Botanic Garden by Bill Grant.
