Introduced by Vibert in 1833.
A strong-growing gallica with upright stems to 1.5m. Leaflets rounded and rather thick. Flowers solitary or in pairs, medium-sized, quartered, with a large pointed green button eye, in colour pink to red, veined with purple. Photographed at Sangerhausen Rosarium Germany.
