A China rose introduced by Jean Laffay in 1832. Large bunches of flesh-pink flowers that repeat well, a small bush, no scent. (This is not to be confused with a rose by the same name by Vibert in 1829). Named for the empress of Russia (1729-1796). Photographed in the Coloma Rose Garden in Brussels, Belgium, by Bill Grant.
