An old climbing Hybrid Perpetual rose introduced by Dickson in 1898. Deep crimson flowers shaded maroon. Scent moderate. It does suffer from mildew but is well worth growing. Photographed in Eccleston Square London UK and on the fence at The University of Santa Clara, San Jose, California.
