A single-flowered China rose of unrecorded origin; flowers deep red, or pink in cold weather. Flowers of good substance, around 9cm across, and smooth, bluish-green leaves. It flowers perpetually even during the depths of winter. The stems are virtually thornless. The same plant can either be a dwarf shrub to 60cm tall, or, with support, grow up into a large shrub 10 feet (3m) or more high and wide. The smaller-flowered forms are often called ‘Miss Lowe’s Variety’. | ||||
