Introduced by Descemet before 1815.
Plant erect but short, around 80cm. Flowers solitary, or in 2's or 3's, small, double, with stamens visible in the centre. Colour deep pink on opening, becoming almost white around the edges, with shades of greyish-purple.



There was another Adele, which is probably extinct, a Portland raised by Prevost in 1826.



The Adele shown here is in the collection at Sangerhausen and at François Joyaux’s Roseraie de la Cour de Commer near Mayenne France, where the photograph was taken.
