A Tea raised by M. Adam of Rheims in France in 1838. Flowers large, to 8.5cm across, double, salmon with a pink flush, and the occasional red streak; well-scented. Stems tall, to 2.5m, with purple thorns. This was one of the earliest teas, possibly ‘Hume’s Blush Tea-scented China’ x ‘Rose Edouard’, an early Bourbon. Best grown as a low climber to a height of about 8 feet. |
