Introduced by Pemberton in 1925. A very good show in the autumn. Normally this rose is grown as a shrub up to about 4 feet (1.2m) in height, but in California we found it growing as a climber or very large shrub up to about 9 feet (2.8m). The specimens photographed were collected at the Royal Horticultural Society Garden, Wisley, Surrey, UK the field shots were taken in the garden of David Austin’s Nursery, Albrighton, Wolverhampton, UK and at the Huntington Rose garden Near Los Angeles California, USA. |
