A Tea rose introduced by Robert et Moreau in 1858. One of the hardiest of the Tea section. Flowers in sprays, fully double, palest blush or ivory, edges ruffled and stained with deep pink, lilac or crimson; the flowers often stay cupped, not opening flat and the larger ones are said to be often imperfect and have an excellent scent. Repeat-flowering is good. Parentage: possibly a seedling of the Tea ‘David Pradel’. Photographed at Mottisfont Garden Hampshire UK, the close-up was taken in Bermuda.
