A hybrid known since 1912 and probably much older. Probably bred from a cross between R. multiflora and R. moschata. It makes a healthy, dense bush or vigorous climber up trees, to a height of 6m. The white flowers are well scented, semi-double in large dense corymbs. The yellow anthers soon blacken. The leaflets are downy beneath; pedicels glandular. Zone 6, will survive down to –20°C
