A Tea rose, introduced in bush form by Foster in 1838 and as a climber in 1858. Foliage close to ‘Parks’s Yellow’, but stems green and flowers larger, creamy-white and flatter. Also flowers again in autumn, indeed in full flower in Devon on October 22nd, as I, Martyn, write this. Stems eventually to 12m (40ft). Raised by G.Foster of Devonport near Plymouth, England, a cross between ‘Smith’s Yellow’ and ‘Parks’s Yellow’. The specimens photographed were collected at Mottisfont Garden Hampshire UK. |
